March 25, 2009, Vilnius. Sintagma-Asseco team won basketball tournament of information technologies (IT) companies, that was for the first time organized in Vilnius. In the final match Sintagma‘s team won against Sisneta-Elsis team with the result of 78:59.

Dominated in the playing field

During the first ten minutes of the final game the winners of IT league gained an advantage 20:11 and after the half time leaded 36:23.

In the third quarter Sintagma‘s advantage scored 20 points (57:36) and Sisneta-Elsis basketball players lost a hope to fight for the victory.

„Our team is very friendly. Every week we play basketball and have a perfect team, so in the IT league we raised the goal to become the champions, - commented Sintagma‘s General Manager Albertas Šermokas, who had scored 8 points in the final game. All the players and employees of the company followed the run of the IT league and were happy with our victories“.

A.Šermokas thinks that such basketball tournaments are very important. „Friendly tournaments of IT companies are beneficial, because the players and fans have a possibility to add variety to the leisure. Basketball helps to develop communication and cooperation among IT companies, - said General Manager of the champions".
