Sintagma‘s revenue increased by 5% in 2008

Company strengthens its positions in the chosen market segments

 

March 26, 2009, Vilnius. In 2008 Sintagma‘s revenue increased by 5% and reached 25.5 million LTL (7.4  million EUR). The revenue from provided services increased by 10% and reached 16.2 million LTL (4.7 million EUR). According to non-audited data, the company’s pre-tax profit from the main line of business totalled 1.85 million LTL (0.54 million EUR).

“Despite the situation in the market the company’s revenue in 2008 increased and we hope them to grow in the future. During 2008 we sustained and further strengthen positions in the chosen market segments and this helped us to make a good potential for the year 2009 and for the further activity”, comments Albertas Šermokas, Sintagma’s General Manager.

2008 is the first full year of being in the Asseco Group – the largest IT group in Central and Eastern Europe. According to A.Šermokas in 2009 Sintagma seeks to create a strong IT group through mergers and acquisitions, also to expand its business in Lithuania and abroad, and implement continuous projects and projects financed by EU structural funds.

 

In 2008 Sintagma developed a range of large information systems with national significance, including, among others, the Decommissioning management system and database for Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant, Information system of plenary sessions of the II Chamber of the Parliament, Lithuanian Geographical Information Infrastructure System, Information system for road vehicle technical inspection, Registry of legislation, System of storing electronic documents in archives, System of interactive school of Vilnius city, also performed continuous projects like Information system for construction permits and state supervision of construction (Infostatyba), System of National Insurance of Transport Means and many others.

 

In 2008 Sintagma was granted a status of the company showing stable and excellent results in implementing IBM software.
